 syntax highlight??I encountered a major problem right at the beginning. The syntax highlight function is greyed out. How do I enable it??

Rapidly installed and workedEControl syntax really does what promises. I installed quickly into my C++ Builder 6 and replaced the "TMemo" component in very little time. It is full of features beyond my real needs but it's nice to have them with it. If you have used the new Delphi or Borland Developer Studio interface, it gives the same editing features (and much more). The only thing that I don't like is that it's rather complex to build a grammar yer own. For my task, which is to give syntax-highligh in script language of my own, I just copied and modified the existing C++ grammar because, luckly, my language is similar to C.

Great concept and tool!A codeless lex and yacc built into a text editor! Terrific job. Hard to complain about a free tool, but on the other hand, hard to find much to complain about in the first place. Social bookmarks: RSS:
